The zombies have fully-modelled layers of meat and muscle rendered onto their bodies, meaning they have a multi-layered damage system with real-time injuries.
- Terror. Violence. Madness. Bedlam. A holiday paradise gone mad. A tropical island turns into total chaos after a mysterious zombie outbreak. Cut off from the rest of the world, the player’s only chance to survive is to fight to the death and find a way to escape from the island.
Dead Island combines first-person action with a heavy focus on melee combat, character development and customization of a vast array of weapons. All of these gameplay features are presented in a dark story inspired by classic zombie movies with a gritty and engrossing campaign that can be played with up to four players in co-op mode.
Set in an open world tropical island, hordes of different festering zombies await players around every corner while they embark on a variety of thrilling missions through the holiday resort. With firearms and ammunition being scarce the player must rely on utilizing found items as weapons for self-defense and fight off zombie hordes in intense melee combat. A diverse range of items can be collected and will later serve to transform the player’s ordinary makeshift weapons into serious instruments of destruction.
The game is set in the Palms Resort, in fictional Banoi, located off the coast of Papua New Guinea.

1. Download Dead Island 2. Install Dead Island 3. Download Update 1 4. Copy Update 1 in Dead Island folder (When it ask you do you want to replace file/s , say Yes) 5. Download Update 2 6. Copy Update 2 in Dead Island folder (When it ask you do you want to replace file/s , say Yes) 7. Download Update 3 8. Copy Update 3 in Dead Island folder (When it ask you do you want to replace file/s , say Yes) 9. Download Steam 10. Install Steam 11. Make new account on Steam with new e-mail adress 12. Download SmartSteam 13. Extract SmartSteam files to Steam Folder 14. Run SmartSteam and Add Dead Island to “Non-Steam Game†15. Close SmartSteam 16. Go to Dead Island folder and search for steam_appid.txt 17. Open steam_appid.txt 18. Delete all numbers that are inside steam_appid.txt and type 57940 inside it 19. Click to close it , and when it asks you do you want to save , click Yes 20. Right Click on steam_appid.txt and check “read only†, now click on “applyâ€and then on “Ok†21. Download Tunngle 22. Play the game until you complete Prologue 29. When you are in Chapter 1 , press Esc and Click on Game Lobby (Now game willsearch for other players , you can join them by double clicking on them when they appear) Also they can join you. |

Just to clarify with everyone who doesn't understand the MULTIPLAYER cracking process:
1) Download :Awesome's: Repack or full rip
2) Install and Crack it.
3) Apply update 2 and then 3
4) DOWNLOAD SMARTSTEAM and drop it into your root steam folder(eg: same place as normal steam.exe)
5) Run the SmartSteam.exe Then Login
6) It might take a little longer than usual!
7) Read the next steps carefully! (DO NOT ADD DEADISLAND AS A NON STEAM GAME!)
8) Launch Dead Island and either start a new game or load your save (Dont forget to set yourself to LAN/Internet; If you have a new char, FINISH THE PROLOGUE FIRST)
9) Press Esc and go to game lobby
10) Invite your friend with the steam overview, or join a mutual group etc, or just connect with the LAN lobby) AND PLAY
